UNIT TWO POINT ONE - Workshop A

DESIGNING TYPOLOGIES

I decided on Typologies & DIY Zines and Multiples, and this is the first week of our elective workshop.

Day 1:
Covering the basics of what typologies are, and then spending the rest of the week gathering materials for our own collection.

Day 2:
We will learn how to order our potential typologies, working at A3 size using the printer or photocopier. Finally, producing 5 categories/variations, demonstrating a different approach to organising the collection.

Day 3:
We will be shown how to simply fold our A3 variations and then consider the 3 final variations you will choose to take further and complete for day 4 and hand in.

Day 4:
Show 3 final creations of your typology. Show visuals of the content you plan to submit for final hand in, including the presentation of your 3 typology variants.

I was worried this would be about complex contextual research or typography or something, but it's not. It's really open and sounds really fun!
